Empowering Humanity NGO is embarking on a noble mission to support 5000 females over the next year by distributing sanitary napkin pads, enabling them to live healthier and more dignified lives. With an estimated cost of ₹3000 per female, this initiative aims not only to provide essential hygiene products but also to educate them about menstrual health and hygiene. By raising awareness and offering practical support, the project seeks to empower these women and girls to face their menstrual periods with confidence, comfort, and dignity, thereby promoting their overall well-being and quality of life.
Every year, approximately 23 million girls in India are forced to drop out of school when they begin menstruating. This alarming situation often leads to them facing severe health issues due to inadequate access to proper menstrual hygiene products, limited awareness, and the social stigma surrounding menstruation.
#PadsForFreedom is an initiative dedicated to empowering disadvantaged girls to lead normal, healthy lives, attend school consistently, and break free from the stigmas and taboos associated with menstruation. By providing access to essential menstrual hygiene resources, this initiative aims to create a world where periods are not a barrier to education, confidence, or dignity.
Menstruation remains a significant barrier to education for girls from disadvantaged communities, leading to high dropout rates. The lack of access to affordable sanitary pads, combined with inadequate functional toilets and poor awareness about menstrual hygiene, creates a challenging environment for young girls to continue their education. Many girls are forced to miss school during their menstrual cycles due to discomfort, fear of embarrassment, and the absence of proper facilities. Over time, these recurring absences contribute to decreased academic performance, diminished confidence, and eventually, early school dropouts. Addressing these issues is crucial to ensuring that all girls have the opportunity to pursue their education with dignity and confidence.

As an on-ground NGO, we know free sanitary pads are essential for girls.
With support from the Embassy of Israel, we established a sanitary pad manufacturing unit to produce affordable, high-quality, and eco-friendly sanitary pads, reaching more adolescent girls in need.
Help us manufacture and distribute free sanitary pads to 20,000 adolescent girls every month so that they do not drop out of school.
