In towns/cities, it’s easy for us to take things like sanitary pads for granted. For many poor girls though, this basic need still remains a luxury. Many even drop out of school due to shame. So lets donate some sanitary napkins and help those girls maintain their hygiene who cannot afford it.

All this is preventable; our girls shouldn’t be struggling for a simple product. So let’s donate some sanitary napkins and help those girls maintain their hygiene who cannot afford it.

In India out of 355 Million menstruating women, only 42.6% use the most basic form of menstrual hygiene product, namely disposal sanitary pads these means only 12% of Indian women use sanitary pads, lack of awareness and socio cultural beliefs that render menstruation as a dirty face women’s lives have long deprived women access to proper menstrual hygienic management.

Empowering Humanity are offering awareness programs and free sanitary napkins in slums of Delhi. We also educate them not to use things like mud, old rags, dried cow dung cakes, wood husk and ash,

as these methods are very risky for them. Few cases of Urinary tract infections, Yeast Infection, Hepatitis B Infection, and Cervical Cancer were reported by our volunteers offering counselling in slums/near by villages.
